Infertility Counseling


International fertility and health care a reckoned name in the medical fraternity. Infertility in the medical fraternity refers to the biological inability of a person to contribute to conception. In addition to that in woman it relates to the woman who is unable to carry a pregnancy to full term. It can be also referred as an inability of a couple to become pregnant after a regular unprotected sexual intercourse. 

As per the medical study it is categorized into two group first case deals with the couples who have not become pregnant after at least 1 year of unprotected sex and second case dealt with those couples who have been pregnant at least once, but never again.



There are various reasons that leads to the infertility includes

  • Older age 
  • Ovarian cysts and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • Pelvic infection or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
  • Scarring from sexually transmitted infection or endometriosis
  • Surgery to prevent pregnancy (tubal ligation) or failure of tubal ligation reversal
  • Thyroid disease 
  • Too little or too much of certain hormones 
Male infertility can be caused by:
  • Environmental pollutants 
  • Being in high heat for prolonged periods 
  • Birth defects 
  • Heavy use of alcohol, marijuana, or cocaine 
  • Too little or too much hormones 
  • Impotence 
  • Infection 
  • Older age 
  • Cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation 
  • Scarring from sexually transmitted diseases, injury, or surgery 
  • Surgery to prevent pregnancy (vasectomy), or failure of vasectomy reversal 
  • Retrograde ejaculation 
  • Smoking 
  • Use of certain drugs, such ascimetidine, spironolactone, and nitrofurantoin

To get rid of these ailments exercise should be encouraged as part of normal activities. But as per the medicalhealth department the excess of exercise leads to disruption of the ovulation cycle, cause no menstrual periods, or result in miscarriages. In men, over exercise leads to low sperm count.
