Surgical Sperm Retrieval

Some men may suffer from sperm count disorder in which sperm are manufactured in the testes but are not present in the ejaculate. There can be many reasons for such disorder. TESA:

In this method a needle is inserted into the testes to remove a small sample of testes which is then examined for sperm. This procedure requires general anaesthetic and may cause a little amount of pain. The recovery usually occurs within three days.

Once sperm has been retrieved, it is used for the ICSI technique. This treatment is also given to those males who had earlier got their vasectomy procedure done.
